Disney and the War EffortAfter the amazing animation breakthrough with Snow White and the Seven Drawfs, Walt Disney continued to create more films such as Pinoccio, Dumbo, and Bambi. He loved this new way of story telling and wanted to continue to share it with the world. However, World War II would interrupt Disney and his plans. The Studio found itself under contract to produce animations that would support the war effort. Some of these cartoons would be used for training material or served a propaganda purpose. Disney featured Donald, Pluto, and Goofy in these shorts like in Victory Vehicles, which persuaded Americans to conserve rubber and gasoline.
